My student announced proudly that he wants to get me a present. I of course responded, saying absolutely no need. Why would you like to get me a present? "Because you're the BEST violin teacher EVER! If I could get you an immortality voucher so that you are able to teach everyone violin forever then that would be the best present." How CUTE is that? There is no better accolade than that of a child! I'll happily be his best violin teacher for as long as I can. I want you to know, you are also the BEST violin teachers for your students. When we turn up to our lessons, we need to put connection first. The learning then follows. In fact, I received a message from one of my first students recently. They thanked me for making their early years on the violin so fun and enriching with my Stringosaurus method and teaching materials. I didn't realise it at the time... I was actually setting up the foundations of a future brass player. I emigrated from Wales to Australia, so he was taken by the dark side of brass... Ha ha (joking) What I am saying is this... You don't know what impact you will have on your students, but you will impact them. You can make a HUGE difference to them. Have an amazing week ahead!
