The countdown has begun, you and almost 50 other creators are ready to go! Here are some tips to ensure you're all set for an epic Create-a-Thon experience: Pack the tools you’ll need to create your epic adventure (that’s whatever you normally use for your creative niche: laptops + chargers, tablets, cameras, art supplies etc). Familiarize yourself with  hotspots particularly in the Quarters area of downtown Make a list of local businesses or venues that might make good inclusions in your story. Brainstorm ideas of how to incorporate your particular niche into the story that your team is creating. Daydream about what you’d spend the $3k grand prize on if your team wins.
What’s on the go? Did you think we’d leave you hanging before Create-a-Thon? Think again! We’ve got an action-packed week leading up to the event, including: Mon March 18 at 6pm: Join us online at 6pm for a 30-minute virtual kick-off session to get you pumped and those creative juices flowing. During this session, you’ll register with the Story City platform, get on our Discord, and meet other creators & creatives joining the event. Just use this link to join at 6pm Tues. Weds March 20 at 6pm: Story City 101. In this virtual 45-minute session, you’ll learn everything you need to know about Story City, how to use our creator tools, brainstorm experiences with other creators, and be a part of a Q&A with our founder & CEO, Emily Craven. Join here at 6pm on Weds. Fri March 22 at 6pm at the Pandennis Building, 9660 Jasper Ave: Evening kick-off! At this live in-person event, you’ll hear what you can expect throughout the weekend, discover everything you need to know about the full challenge, and start networking and building your teams!
