Location: Pendennis Building, 9660 Jasper Ave, Edmonton
Kickoff Fri 22nd March: Doors open 5:30pm, 6pm start, 8pm finish
Day 1 Sat 23rd March: Doors open 9:30am, 10am start, 6pm finish
Day 2 Sun 24th March: Doors open 10am, 7.30pm finish
Please arrive between 5:30-6pm tonight for the kick-off to have time to register. The kick off will start promptly at 6pm.

Parking & Transit
See our handy-dandy parking map here. Weekends in these four spots are about $10/day for Impark and underground parkades.
Please note that street parking in this area is generally only for 2hr chunks - please use the lots and avoid fines!
The closest LRT Stop is the Quarters stop.

Because the door is locked at all times we request you be respectful of our staff's time and arrive promptly at the start of each day, or the end of each lunch hour. If you leave and need to be let back in, we ask that you contact one of the above rather than a team member to let you in for security reasons. Thank you friends!
Lunch
Lunch: 1-2:30pm Sat & Sun - Edmonton Chinatown Multi-Cultural Centre
Lunch is kindly being provided by the Edmonton Chinatown Multi-cultural Centre, and will be served at the center, so each lunch hour we will get to go on a field trip from Pendennis where the event is to the Multicultural center each day which you can find a map pin for here.
The menu is vegetarian and consists of: Green Onion Cakes, Spring Rolls, Deep fried wontons, and Mango pudding.
For those with Gluten, Lactose, or vegan dietary restrictions we will have lunch options for you at the Pendennis building, which you are welcome to take with you to join your team at the cultural center if you wish. Snack will be provided throughout the day, along with Coffee and Tea - you're encouraged to bring a fun mug from home!

Take a moment to fill out your own bio more, if you wish, and add in your favourite genres, and general vibe to help others in the room get to know you better too! Also feel free to share it on the Discord too.
Get A Head Start On Creating Your Best Story
The pre-event workshops on Monday and Weds will give you great insight into what to expect from the weekend, and how interactive stories work on Story City. You can find the recordings of these here.
But if you really want to pre-prep and leverage the Friday evening to give you the best chance at the grand prize, we recommend pre-looking at the mini-workshops (short 7-15min videos) created to help you craft the best experiences as a team.

Register Your Team Once It's Formed
Once you have built your team (whether it's one person or 5) please enter your team name, team members, and story title (if you have one) into the Team Registration tab of the Friends you Haven't Met Yet spreadsheet
Childcare
We're excited to help out with your tiny humans! Here's the most important info you need to know:
10am-6pm Sat and Sun
Childcare will be on the floor above the main create-a-thon area
Check in & out every day at the front registration decks with your little ones
Please bring food and nap time items for them each day
We respectfully ask that you remain on site (except for lunch) while your children are in care. If it is found you are not on site, and have not informed a staff member of your external create-a-thon related task, you will be called and asked to pick up your child.
If they are sick we please request you do not bring them in to respect the health of the other children and careers
