My dear friend,
I have spent a lot of time studying, reading, reflecting and meditating lately.
And it brought me some deep insights.
Such a large part of our life is spent in our mind, thinking, worrying, making assumptions, judging, labeling,... We very often let our mind, compelling thoughts in our mind run our day and even our life.
Somebody said something we didn't like and we think about it all day. And every day there is something new in the drama of life that consumes us.
An angry boss, an annoying mother-in-law, a career that is not fulfilling, money problems,... our entire life is ruled by it.
But what if we could see those thoughts for what they are: creations of the mind, interpretations of reality, preventing us each time again to connect with the deepest truth within ourselves, preventing us to connect with our soul.
Let's say that you mother-in-law said something very mean to you, accusing you of doing something you didn't do, gossiping about you, and you let your day be ruined by what she did. Running the conversation through your head the entire day.
First of all, all your mother-in-law says, has nothing to do with you. It is only an expression of who she is, of her inner state. And if you could see within yourself that you have the power to let go of that thought and go into your soul, connect with the Divine within you and let that part of you take over.
Listen to that Wise voice within yourself, transcend your small self, let go of angry thoughts and see this as an opportunity to train yourself to stay peaceful and powerful in a difficult situation.
Train yourself in a way that your thinking mind becomes the servant of your Soul, for your Soul Knows. Meditating, watching your thoughts and detaching from those thoughts will help you greatly. Praying, connecting with the Divine will let your Soul speak to you and make you connect with the sacredness of life.
That's what I wanted to share with you tonight. With love, Barbara.
