"People where you live," the little prince said, "Grow five thousand roses in one garden... Yet they don't find what they are looking for."
"They don't find it," I answered.
"And yet what they are looking for could be found in a single rose, or a little water."
"Of course," I answered.
And the little prince added: "But eyes are blind. You have to look with the heart."
This is one of my favorite passage from the book 'The little Prince'.
There is so much beauty in these simple sentences, the real beauty in the world, we can only see with our heart.
One of my intentions for 2016 is to make a daily moment to remember the gift of this life, to have a sense of holiness, a moment where I remember that I am more than a working machine, that I am sacred. A moment where I appreciate who I am deeply and at the same time this will be a moment to be grateful for this life, for this opportunity to experience such a vast richness of different situations, a moment to detach myself from my daily worries and activities, to expand myself beyond my little miseries. In that moment I will surrender to something bigger than me and will open myself to let life happen through me. This moment will empower me because I know that I have the power to amplify where I put my energy. This moment will prevent me to be drained too much by my thoughts about how things should be.
This is what I wanted to share with you today.
Love, Barbara.
