My dear, dear friend,
As you might know I read many, many books. I have done this since childhood, it was a way to discover the world, to open my mind, and to explore new horizons.
Throughout the years after reading all those books and meeting so many people, I came to realize that there is a huge difference between knowledge and wisdom.
We may get much knowledge out of books, we may even witness the wisdom of others through books. Yet, I met people who read thousands of books and yet lacked every form of wisdom.
I have found that true Wisdom comes from within us and books can offer some extra clarification to that Wisdom. It is so that life itself offers us opportunities every day to reveal the Divine Wisdom within us. We all can access this Wisdom, it is waiting for us to call it.
How can we do that?
By being still and go inward. Spend some hours alone every single day. That's what I try to do every day. Although I have a very busy schedule and a household, I keep a strict schedule to be able to spend at least 1-2 hours alone.
I get up at 5am one hour before the rest of the family to meditate, pray and write. At that moment I set my intentions for the day, saying to myself that whatever storms may cross my path, I intend to stay loving, kind and peaceful, knowing that I am divinely supported and loved. From 6-8am is breakfast time with the family. From 8am till 7pm is the time for work. 7-9pm is dinner time with the family and after 9pm is my alone time again.
Those alone hours I read, write, pray and meditate. These moments are crucial to be able to do the work I do. I do not watch TV, I am not interested in having small talk and empty conversations and I have reduced my time on social media to the minimum.
I wanted to share this with you to remind you that you have access to all the Wisdom you need. It just takes discipline and practice. When you need an answer to a problem in your life, be still and listen.
I wanted to end this message by saying that I am truly grateful for your presence in my life, each time you send me a message, it touches my heart, most of all if I see you improving your life, getting more fulfilled every day, knowing that all the power to make changes is within you, always knowing that you are divinely supported.
Sending you love, Barbara.
PS I need your help. I am planning a new show on Facebook where I would discuss some life-changing books and how they gave me deep insights and realizations. I would like to know from you which books you would want to see discussed. Thank you so much for your feedback!!
PPS If you want other topics for a Facebook show, let me know, I am always open to suggestions.
