My dear, dear friend,
I just got home from spending 5 days with my spiritual mentor in his home in the US with 4 other students.
Deeply, deeply grateful for having had the opportunity to do this.
For 5 entire days, he was teaching us on the Spiritual Laws of the Universe, on Unconditional Love, on being Highly Evolved as a Human Being.
But more than from his words, I learned from his being. His being radiated unconditional love, humility and tenderness. Every word he spoke was infused with this love and kindness.
I want to share something that happened over there.
The night that I arrived there it was 10:00pm, everybody was already gone to bed. My mentor, who is 75 years old, normally goes to sleep at 8:30pm because he gets up at 4:00am. So when I got out of the taxi, he opened the front door of his house. I was so surprised! He had personally stayed up so late to welcome me, he carried all my luggage up the stairs and showed my room.
He was so warm, welcoming but most of all extremely humble. What an extraordinary human being!
And this is what I wanted to remind you of today. It doesn't matter where you live in the world, it doesn't matter what your position or job is, it doesn't matter if you have many material possessions or not; the ONLY THING that matters is, who are you as a human being?
Are you loving? Are you humble? Are you grateful?
Many people have already told me that I am too kind for this world, that I am not fit to do business. Well, I refuse to change. It is not because the world is an unkind place many times that my heart will be poisoned by that. I simply do not allow that.
My intention every morning is to be a loving presence for the people around me (sometimes I do not succeed very well, but I try my best every day).
And every night I pray that those who feel unloved might experience how loved they are, that those who feel forgotten might realize that nobody is forgotten by the Divine, never. I pray that those who feel unseen might feel that they matter.
And that is what I wanted to share, words are always less important than your being, let your life be an example of kindness, compassion and humility.
When you encounter another person, see them as a human being, not more, not less, without looking at what might separate you; gender, religion or color. That is what I try to do every single day.
So that when I go to sleep, I hope to have been a beneficial presence on this earth.
I wanted to end with saying that you are very close to my heart, I am grateful for every message I receive, and as always I am sending you Love and Light, Barbara.
