Thank you for all your sweet mails and blessings!
I really feel humbled by them...
Yesterday we did a walk in the mountains of Northern Italy.
An ideal moment for reflection.
As I was walking in complete awe for the magnificent nature (see picture here below), I was thinking that, just like you, I have been a seeker all my life.
Seeking ultimate wisdom... Seeking ultimate happiness... Cultivating ultimate compassion...
Always hungry for more knowledge, which makes you an eternal student.
And although we realize that the truth is not out there but deep within us, it is this attitude of seeking and learning, this eagerness that makes us grow every day.
By reading, writing and sharing, we raise our self-awareness, we see more and more how our thoughts control our lives, how resisting the present moment is how we create our own unhappiness.
And this happened to me yesterday morning.
We discussed our plans for the day and I wanted to stay in the hotel to have a relax day, reading and writing. My husband, the kids and the rest of the company wanted to do a walk in the mountains and normally I LOVE to walk in nature.
For some reason I resisted... I had made up some stories in my mind - I feel tired, I want to have some time alone, I will have no time to read and write - but I decided to go with them since I was the only one wanting to stay in the hotel.
And in surrendering to whatever would happen that day, there was such an openness, there was space, and I realized that resisting to what is, was really draining me.
I had a fantastic day, the magnificent scenery gave me even more inspiration than I would have had in the hotel.
If you can, watch your thoughts closely, see what they do to you, how they make you feel, and in seeing this there is SO much power! Once you are aware of this, you realize that you don't have to be ruled by those thoughts, you can simply change them.
Awesome, isn't it?
Sending you love from Italy! Barbara.
PS Once I'm back home, I'll be presenting you my new life-changing program. I am SUPER excited about this!!! So watch for my next emails :)
PPS I could not resist to include a picture of the magnificent nature and one of me on top of the mountain :)
