Subject: What's Next For Fall Gardening

Hi Friend.

Wow!  It has been so exciting to see all of the garden photos from the site visits. What an exciting summer!

Believe it or not, it's already time to begin shifting gears into fall gardening.

As a reminder, the garden technology will help you strategize what will work best in your growing zone and the perfect container size for your vegetable of choice. But as a general rule of thumb, fall is a great time to grow easy leafy greens.

We only have about 6 weeks before the threat of frost presents itself, so the sooner we get planting, the better! :)

Here are some veggies that are good to consider planting this time of year.
Let us help!

1.  We would love to know what each center is growing so that we can send you specific updates and lessons accordingly.  If your center is growing this fall, simply hit reply to this email and tell us what you plan (or have already started) to grow.

2.  Jessica has been sending pictures of her site visits which allows us to help with things like bugs and disease.  Let's keep that going!  We would love for each center growing this fall to email or text us a photo every week or two of your container or bed space. We can cheer you on and help to quickly spot anything that might need adjusted (like soil conditions, bugs, weeds, etc).  Photos can be sent to: mandy@healthykidsinc.com or by text to 304-549-4660.

Check out this beautiful (but damaging) tomato hornworm that we found this year.  This will eventually turn into a Hawk Moth as shown below.

Even those garden pests are a great learning opportunity for the children :)
Be sure to hit reply to this email and let us know what you plan to grow this fall. We can't wait to hear all about it and help you strategize along the way.

Have a great week.
