This week marks a special time for Start A Garden and an opportunity for us to THANK YOU.

Let us explain.

It was 2 years ago that four strangers came together to create a solution to solve childhood obesity. The idea, Start A Garden, was born and later pitched to nearly a thousand attendees at the annual Partnership for a Healthier American (PHA) Conference in Washington D.C.

The response from businesses, teachers, and families at the conference was incredible. A website that could make starting a garden easy for anyone.

Start A Garden became the winner of the PHA Innovation Award. Our newly formed team (and future business partners) would then go on to create the garden technology.

One year later, our Start A Garden team unveiled its technology to the country at the annual PHA Conference in Washington D.C.

Here is our team below just before the unveiling last year :)

The response was AMAZING and the Start A Garden technology has since helped YOU and thousands of others start growing food in containers. The platform was featured in Fortune and the Huffington Post even referred to it as a "genius tool."

Little did we know where this last year would take us.

Over the past year, the Start A Garden team has also been a resource to schools, which enabled us to spend a lot of time with kids of all ages. In every class we work with, students ask about gardening. Not only do the students want to garden, nearly all say they will eat the food if they grow it (even the pickiest of eaters).

We knew that if we were going to shift the way American's eat and get families growing and eating more real food, we needed to do more.

It became very clear to us that for families to meet the needs of their kids, we had to create technology that would make the full seed to table cycle, well, fail-proof.

Hence the next phase of Start A Garden was born.

Last fall, we joined forces with Healthy Kids Inc. to begin creating the country's first website to help families Grow, Meal Plan and Cook real food. All in one integrated platform.

Now, after many months of integration, we are over-the-moon excited to announce and unveil the country's first Seed to Table Meal Planner to help families eat more real food.
