In South Australia, the new year heralds the beginning of more batteries able to get a look-in with SA's Home Battery Scheme.
 
Across the border in New South Wales, approvals have been granted for a huge 900MW solar project that will also feature energy storage, plus a 60MW solar farm near Narrabri.
 
On the small-scale solar front, EnergyAustralia appears to be continuing its push to see Australia's major solar subsidy axed prematurely.
