Hi everyone,
Welcome to another issue of the Solar Quotes weekly newsletter - please feel free to forward it on to others.
While some consider me "anti-battery", I am not. I have one at home. I am simply pro-truth - and the truth is home batteries do not currently pay for themselves financially or environmentally (as soon as they do, I'll shout it from the rooftops). Last week, I exposed 6 battery storage myths in detail - more on this below.
While on the topic of storage, Ronald's posted his thoughts on the Opal Storage battery system and has also written about very curious "virtual powerline" technology (but note the publish date on that one).
In other news, the Small-scale Technology Percentage (STP) knob was turned the right way for solar late last week; much to the displeasure of Liberal backbencher Craig Kelly. On a related note, Mr. Kelly believes replacing Liddell Power Station with solar panels, wind turbines and batteries is “as dangerous to the economy as rabies is in a dog”.
