Subject: NSW solar FiT update, CEC flags potential inverter issue, thousands march in Sydney for clean energy and more

Solar Quotes

Hi everyone,

Welcome to another issue of the Solar Quotes weekly newsletter - please feel free to forward it on to others.

Over the past week, we've seen 10,000 people march in the streets of Sydney demanding a clean energy future and NSW Opposition Leader Luke Foley pledging cooler schools with the assistance of harnessing the power of the sun. Also in NSW, IPART has signalled a lower feed-in tariff, but it's important to note IPART's decision will only be a guide

Elsewhere, Queensland's solar for public housing trial appears to be kicking along well - and the QLD government says it will next turn its attention to providing better access to solar power for renters in the private market.

In other news, the CEC has flagged that the failure of a couple of inverters tested for compliance with AS 4777.2 for passive anti-islanding settings may be indicative of a broader industry issue.
