There was big news last week with the Victorian Government finally taking action to address the state's solar rebate crisis. The allocation for September and subsequent months has been boosted significantly and the first tranche for September was meant to be released at 9am yesterday morning. However, the Solar Victoria portal crashed soon after. In a message this morning, Solar Victoria said it was working to get the portal back online and "will give plenty of notice before the portal reopens to allow people time to prepare."
 
While on the topic of subsidies, Residents of the ACT can take advantage of the Territory's generous battery subsidy - but the scheme leaves a lot to be desired.
