Presents...
The Irvine Rare Beer Collection
We are very proud to announce THE IRVINE RARE BEER COLLECTION, now open for bidding. Featuring 116 bottles of extraordinary Belgian and American beers from ten of the world’s most acclaimed breweries, this expansive collection touches on a wide range of styles and includes a cornucopia of beers in the lambic, quadrupel, old ale, imperial stout, barleywine, wee heavy, and various other traditional and modern styles. This single-owner cellar includes rarities from The Bruery, Cantillon, Westvleteren, Russian River Brewing Co., AleSmith Brewing Co., The Crooked Stave Artisan Beer Project, The Lost Abbey, Deschutes, Pelican, and Firestone Walker. All beers were acquired upon release and have been stored immaculately at a temperature- and humidity-controlled professional wine storage facility in Orange County for their lifetimes.

Lot 431 is a particularly noteworthy item: included are six bottles of the elusive Westvleteren XII in a collector’s gift box set, a beer widely considered one of the world’s finest. Established in 1838 by a monastic branch of the Order of Cistercians known as the Trappists, the reclusive Westvleteren brewery at the Abbey of Saint Sixtus is perhaps at the pinnacle of traditional Belgian brewing, and its beers are legendarily difficult to attain as they are traditionally only sold by the brewery itself in Belgium by reservation. This lot represents the only offering of this sublime beer in the United States.

Other highlights include Lots 476-477, two versions of The Bruery’s 2008 Partridge in a Pear Tree Quadrupel, and Lot 446, one of The Bruery’s earliest releases, Batch No. 1 Levud’s, signed by longtime brewers Patrick Rue and Tyler King. Lots 447-452 represent a vertical of The Bruery’s coveted Black Tuesday imperial stout from the years 2009-2014. Lot 502 includes another extraordinary rarity – the 2010 release of the mythical Lost Abbey Veritas Batch #007. Lot 499 includes a very rare 2009 release of the AleSmith Speedway Stout.

Bid now, as these lots represent, in most cases, the only offerings of these exceptionally rare beers anywhere. Bidding closes at 6:00pm PDT on Thursday 21 May.
