| "Founded by Chris Peterson (winemaker and formerly of DeLille Cellars) and Marty Taucher, and releasing their first vintage in 2010, this Woodinville-based operation needs to be on everyone’s radar. The wines are superb across the board and while they have solid fruit, they stress purity and elegance, with vibrant cores of acidity." Jeb Dunnuck |
| | "... Texturally stunning, radiant wines with classic tannic structures. While graceful in feel, I expect they’ll mature beautifully in collectors' cellars."

| | "Some of my favorite wines from Washington unquestionably come from Chris Peterson’s Avennia label. Chris makes a savory, classic, even old-school style of wine that still carries plenty of concentration, freshness and structure …. and this is a rare estate that makes both world-class Syrahs and world-class Bordeaux blends. Don’t miss these wines." William Kelley, Wine Advocate |
| | | Columbia Valley ‣ "The 2020 Sestina showed beautifully, with lots of ripe black fruits, tobacco, and spring flower notes in a medium to full-bodied, fresh, focused, elegant style. It has fine tannins and a great finish and should drink nicely right out of the gate. The tannins here are terrific." 94-96+ Jeb Dunnuck, JebDunnuck.com

| | | "These are made in tiny quantities but are worth the effort to track down .... The quality is sky high and I think their wines still fly too far under the radar. The wines always lean toward the more structured, fresher end of the spectrum while offering beautiful fruit."

| | | Yakima Valley ‣ "Very pale, bright silver-yellow. Pungent yet subtle scents of grapefruit pith, gooseberry and minerals; smells bone-dry. Surprisingly silky and dense yet weightless on entry, then citrussy, dry and penetrating in the middle palate, with an almost metallic impression of minerality adding punch to the grapefruit, lemon and shiso leaf flavors; the wine's complexity reminded me of a top Loire Valley version. More austere than the 2018 a year ago but perhaps with even greater potential. The note of gooseberry repeats on the lingering, minerally back end, which avoids any phenolic dryness. Note that Chris Peterson made numerous vintages of the outstanding Chaleur Blanc Sauvignon Blanc/Sémillon blend during his tenure at DeLille Cellars. (from Boushey and Red Willow vineyards; barrel-fermented with wild yeasts, then aged in 80% neutral oak and 20% concrete egg)." 92 Stephen Tanzer, Vinous |
