Pieropan Soave Classico Calvarino 2018
"Racy, bone-dry and loaded with tension, this intriguing white offers delicate scents of white spring flower, botanical herb, pear and hazelnut. The mineral-driven, focused palate features nectarine, Meyer lemon, rosemary and tangy mineral notes evoking briny oyster shell alongside crisp acidity." 95 Points Kerin O'Keefe, Wine Enthusiast
Pieropan Soave Classico La Rocca 2018
"Aromas of chamomile, dried pineapple, preserved lemon, toasted almond and beeswax. It’s medium-to full-bodied with tangy acidity. So concentrated, layered and phenolic. Keeps going. Yet, it remains agile and vivid. From organically grown grapes. . ." 95 Points James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com
Jermann Chardonnay Where Dreams Have No End 2018
"This is always a very complex and complete white with cooked apples, pears, light lemon curd and vanilla. Hints of minerals. It’s full-bodied with a round, delicious palate. Beautiful, ripe fruit and length. Drinkable now, but better in 2022 and onwards."

Jermann Vintage Tunina 2019 Not Yet Reviewed "Silvio Jermann has always been inventive. Although he has produced varietal wines typical of the Collio region in Friuli, he created blends from the outset. Easily the most famous of his wines is the blend Vintage Tunina, which was first made in 1975. All the varieties used for Tunina are picked together. Yields are kept well below the generous Friuli average, and grapes are picked about two weeks later than other white varieties, to give additional richness. The wine takes its name from both a previous owner of the property called Antonia, known by the local diminutive Tunina, and a Venetian governess of the same name who was one of Casanova’s lovers."

Tornatore Etna Bianco Pietrarizzo 2019
"Made predominantly from Carricante with a drop of Catarratto, this smooth, stunning white offers delicate, enticing scents of Spanish broom, chamomile, ripe white-stone fruit and a whiff of smoke. Savory and loaded with elegance, the medium-bodied, focused palate features juicy Meyer lemon, ripe Bartlett pear, golden apple and tangy, saline mineral notes. Bright acidity lends tension and balance."

Tornatore Etna Rosso Pietrarizzo 2016 "Wild rose, red berry, dark spice and Mediterranean brush aromas come together to create a delicate, alluring fragrance. The smooth, elegant palate doles out juicy red cherry, strawberry, white pepper and clove alongside polished, silky tannins. Bright acidity gives it tension and energy. It’s already approachable, but will age well for several more years."

Renato Ratti Langhe Nebbiolo Ochetti 2018 "Here's another bottle in the little solider series from this estate in La Morra. Each bottle in this group depicts an old military uniform on its front label. The Renato Ratti 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo Ochetti is a very fragrant and light expression. The wine reveals wild berry and tangy forest fruit with some bitter almond and a good dose of camphor ash or licorice that builds some nice complexity into the bouquet."

Renato Ratti Barolo Marcenasco 2017 "This is so perfumed and beautiful with cherries, strawberries and dried flowers that follow through to a medium to full body with firm, fine tannins and a long, energetic finish. All about length and finesse. . ."

Argiano Brunello di Montalcino 2016 "A very polished red with cloves and caramel, on top of black cherries, mushrooms and forest floor. Black olives, too. It's full-bodied with polished tannins and lovely depth all the way through. Lightly chewy. Juicy black-cherries and savory black-olive character. Complex."

Allegrini Amarone di Valpolicella 2016 "There’s a dark, mineral-driven complexity to the 2016 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico that keeps you coming back to the glass over and over again. Sometimes it’s licorice, sometimes blackberry or maraschino cherry, but always backed by a mix of autumnal spice, sour citrus and hints of animal musk that intrigue the senses. Velvety-smooth and almost creamy in weight, as sweet red fruits flesh out, taking on nuances of violet candies and cloves toward the close. This is pure elegance, dense yet balanced, and delivering a layer of fine tannins that linger long, as hints of bitter coffee and dark chocolate slowly fade. All of this, and at an amazingly respectable 15.5% abv. Bravo." 95 Points Eric Guido, Vinous |
