Lieu-Dit Melon de Bourgogne 2017
"The 2017 Melon is bright, crisp and delicious. Slate, crushed rock, lime and white flowers are all very nicely delineated throughout. Drink this bone-dry, refreshing Melon aperitif-styled white over the next year or two. The Melon emerges from old vines in Bien Nacido."
Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Lieu-Dit Chenin Blanc 2017
"The 2017 Chenin Blanc is one of the most expressive wines in the Lieu Dit range. Perfumed, generous and inviting, the 2017 has so much to offer. The Chenin emerges from Happy Canyon Vineyard, where the first Chenin was planted in an appellation that is better known for its Bordeaux varieties. Justin Willett fermented the 2017 in stainless steel and aged the wine in neutral oak."

Whitcraft Winery Chardonnay Presqu’ile Vineyard 2016
"Fresh Asian pear, lemon blossoms and honeysuckle make for an enjoyable nose on this bottling from a very coastally influenced vineyard just east of Santa Maria. The acidity on the palate is super racy and vibrant, carrying flavors of chalk and lime pith that sizzle long and deep."
94 Matt Kettmann, Wine Enthusiast

Karlsen Chardonnay Chock Rock Vineyard 2014
“If you like buttery, creamy, oaky wine, look elsewhere: this is Chardonnay. Aromas reminiscent of Mersault, this wine is balanced with minerals and stone fruit. Barrel aged for 6 months in French oak, the wine retains its racy backbone while picking up texture and nuance from the oak.”
Producer Notes, Karlsen Wines

Zotovich Pinot Noir Estate 2016
The 2016 Pinot Noir is an impeccable, vivid wine with tons of personality. Rose petal, lavender, sage and mint wrap around a core of pliant fruit. Silky tannins add finesse to this pretty and expressive Pinot Noir from Zotovich. I very much like the sense of energy here."
92 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Roar Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard 2017
"One of the standouts in the vintage is the 2017 Pinot Noir Sierra Mar Vineyard. This brilliant wine comes from more decomposed granite and gravelly soils and was brought up in 71% new French oak. Thrilling notes of crushed rocks, rose petals, gravelly minerality, and ample black cherry and black raspberry fruit all flow to layered, medium to full-bodied Pinot Noir that carries remarkable intensity yet stays weightless and balance. It’s pure class."

Stolpman Vineyard Proprietary Red Para Maria 2017
"The 2017 Syrah Para Maria is another attractive wine from Stolpman. Here, too, the fruit is bright, precise and articulate, which is to say quite a departure from the style of the 2016. Generous and pliant on the palate, with no hard edges and striking aromatics, the 2017 is shaping up to be a real beauty. The 2017 is a blend of 80% Syrah and 20% Petite Verdot (all purchased fruit) done with about 40% carbonic maceration. Don't miss it."
92-95 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Piedrasassi Syrah P.S. 2017
"In the vineyard, the team at Piedrasassi picks a bit earlier than their colleagues to keep the alcohol levels in balance with flavour and to preserve the natural acidity of the fruit. In the winery, Moorman employs some whole-cluster inclusion, indigenous yeast fermentation, and no sulphur added at fermentation, remaining as natural as possible without compromising the integrity and stability of the wine. Elevage is in 500-litre barrels to limit the wine’s exposure to oxygen and to minimize the influence of oak. They add the smallest amount of sulphur to the wine at bottling; allowing the aromatics to stay expressive while still protecting the wine during cellaring."
Distributor Notes, Skurnik Wines

Ridge Proprietary Red Lytton Springs 2016
"The 2016 Lytton Springs is a powerful, dense wine. Black cherry, plum, lavender, new leather, cloves, licorice and menthol flesh out. Deep, plush and richly textured, the 2016 Lytton Springs packs a real punch. The 23% Petite Sirah is felt in the wine's darkness and overall gravitas. There is more than enough richness and structure to support many years of fine drinking. What a gorgeous wine this is."
95 Antonio Galloni, Vinous

Hourglass Merlot Blueline Vineyard 2016
"A soft and velvety merlot with dark berries and chocolate. Walnuts, too. Full-bodied, round and velvety. Shows merlot DNA. 20-plus vineyard age. . ."
93 James Suckling, JamesSuckling.com

Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2015
Sports an intense and pure beam of raspberry and cassis flavors, flanked by sage, incense and black tea aromas and backed by mouthwatering licorice snap notes and a bramble-filled finish. A beautiful example of mountain fruit.
95 James Molesworth, Wine Spectator

Riverain Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard 2016
“Even better than the blockbuster 2015, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Tench Vineyard offers incredible purity and precision paired with full-bodied power and richness. Thrilling notes of blueberries, liquid violets, and tons of crushed rock and minerality all flow to a ripe, sexy, seamless Cabernet Sauvignon that does everything right. A wine of incredible poise and stature, it has enough tannin to warrant 2-4 years of bottle age and is a 20- to 30-year wine."
