Domaine de Fenouillet Ventoux Rosé 2016
“This rosé is vinified partially by direct press and partially by “saignée”, the juice is naturally clarified after a cold “débourbage” of 24 hours, the wine ferments at temperature that never exceeds 16 degrees Celsius and then it is aged on the fine lees for four to six months before bottling. It is a blend of 50% Cinsault, 40% Grenache and 10% Syrah, all of which is planted to soils of clay, limestone and silex.”

Pradeaux Le Côtes de Provence Rosé 2016
“Made from 60% Mourvedre, 30% Cinsault, and 10% Grenache, from vineyards just outside Bandol proper, it smells of strawberry jam, black pepper, and nutmeg. The palate is broad and mouthfilling, with firm minerality and a complex, satisfying texture. It’s actually far closer to their Bandol rosé in spirit than it is to most commercial-tasting Cotes de Provence rosés, but it is nonetheless consciously a bit more easygoing and airy in its personality.”

Peyrassol Côtes de Provence Commanderie Rosé 2016
“This wine is the classic representation of the pink-tinted wines of this region and is the workhorse wine of the estate. It carries a pale rose color, a lovely fruit blossom nose and finishes crisply dry with a stony touch that gives it class and elegance. The grape blend is usually Cinsault, Grenache and Syrah in varying percentages. The average age of the vines is 25 years or more. The Rosés of Peyrassol are made from the direct press method. The grapes undergo cold maceration before being pressed. This gives them their beautiful watermelon pink color. The fermentation takes place under controlled temperatures and is exceptionally long, resulting in rosés that are both lively, fresh and full-bodied.”

Arrow & Branch Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc 2014
“The 2014 Sauvignon Blanc vibrates with energy and verve. Sourced from two superb Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc vineyards, the blend is minerally, bright and focused with a hint of pleasant sweetness and ever-present fruit. The touch of new French Oak adds just a hint of clove and gingerbread, and a bit of honey. The finish is mouth-watering and reminiscent of oranges and rocks.”

Domaine Manarine Côtes du Rhône Blanc 2016
“The sole white wine of the estate is produced from a blend of Clairette and Bourboulenc. The grapes are fermented in temperature-controlled cement tanks and are left in contact with the fine lies for several months. Bottling takes place in early spring of the year following harvest.”

J.L. Chave St. Joseph Blanc Circa 2015
“This white Saint-Joseph wine is made from pure Roussanne, from mature rootstock that hails from the walled 4-hectare 'Clos Forentin' vineyard which the Chaves acquired in 2009. Fewer than 400 cases are produced annually and it is popular on export markets, as with many Chave wines. It has lovely almond and acacia flower scents and wonderfully-textured white stone fruit palate with a long, elegant finish.”

Albert Mann Alsace Grand Cru Furstentum Riesling 2015
“The 2015 Grand Cru Furstentum Riesling is very pure and spicy on the smoky, quite elegant nose. Rich, ripe and concentrated on the palate, with stewed fruit flavors and 26 grams of unfermented sugar, the finish is lingeringly salty and very stimulating.”

Domaine Vissoux Fleurie Les Garants 2015
“The Chermette family has produced a rich generous cru wine. It is structured and dense with some firm tannins from maturing in wood. It also has a generous black plum and cherry fruits that are developing well.”

Domaine Vissoux Moulin-à-vent Trois Roches 2015
“This is a rich complex wine. It has layers of tannins and juicy black fruits that are integrated beautifully. The acidity gives the wine a crisper edge although never taking away from the ripe fruit and structured character.”

Domaine Grands Bois Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Gabrielle 2015
“More fine and elegant than the Les Trois Sœurs, the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Villages Cuvee Gabrielle (60/40 Grenache and Syrah) offers lots of upfront black and blue fruits, licorice and white pepper in its fresh, medium to full-bodied, elegant personality.”

Domaine Grands Bois Côtes du Rhône Cuvée Philippine 2015 / Côtes du Rhône
“The 2015 Côtes du Rhône Villages Cuvee Philippine (60/40 Grenache and Syrah aged in tank) is a rich, ripe, medium to full-bodied red that has a 2010 level of purity and polish. Black raspberries, cassis, toasted spice and licorice all emerge from the glass, and it has ripe, chewy tannin.”

Yves Cuilleron St. Joseph Pierres Seches 2014
"Opaque ruby. Aromas and flavors of blackberry, boysenberry and candied flowers carry a smoky mineral overtone. Nicely energetic and precise; a jolt of peppery spiciness enlivens the very long, youthfully tannic finish."

Cresta Velia Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon 2013
“These are two reasonable values in high-quality mountain Cabernet Sauvignon in Napa from chef and owner John Giannini. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a limited production cuvée that exhibits an opaque purple color and notes of cassis and blackberry liqueur, some licorice and underlying earthy notes. It is full-bodied, rich, dense and super-impressive for a relatively new producer. This wine is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon from the Eagle Summit Vineyard on Howell Mountain and was aged 20 months in 80% new French oak.”
95 Robert Parker

Beau Vigne Cabernet Sauvignon Romeo 2014
"There are 354 cases of the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Romeo, which has 2% Petit Verdot added in. A fabulous nose of creosote, charcoal embers, blackberry and cassis jumps up from this dense purple wine. It displays full body, superlative equilibrium, sweet tannin, a layered, multi-dimensional mouthfeel and a terrific finish of close to 40+ seconds. Already delicious, this will continue to evolve handsomely for another 15-20 years."
94 Robert Parker

Arcudi Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears 2014
"The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Black Sears Vineyard is brighter and more linear than the 2013 tasted alongside it, much of that likely the result of the personality of the vintage and its relative age. Rose petal, mint and dark red cherries all make an appearance in this vivid, finely sculpted Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon."
