| "After training in Oregon and at Montpellier, Mee Godard established her own Domaine in the Beaujolais in 2013. Organic conversion is underway in the vineyards; and in the winery, winemaking is resolutely classical: whole bunches are largely retained and macerations last several weeks, with pump-overs and punch-downs adapted vintage by vintage. Maturation follows in concrete, foudre, demi-muids, and barrels, depending on the cuvée. The resulting wines are pure, elegantly structured, and traditionally styled, with the substance to age but also with considerable upfront charm. What's more, each and every cuvée is beautifully differentiated by site."
