| | Cool climate wines from Mendocino’s far Coast… “Jason and Molly Drew started Drew in 2000 with a clear pursuit in mind: to craft small lot, cool climate wines that express site distinction and traditional varietal character. Their moment came when they stumbled upon an old 26-acre apple orchard within the Mendocino Ridge Appellation. While others saw a daunting project in this old forgotten orchard, Jason and Molly saw ancient oceanic soils, south facing slopes at 1250 ft elevation, putting them just above the fogline and a true coastal climate, with the ocean a mere 3.3 miles away. It didn't take long for them to decide to leap and leap they did.” This is a tiny production winery, offering extremely high-quality, hand crafted wine at reasonable prices.
“Mid-Elevation refers to the 800 -1,400 ft elevation range in the Anderson Valley and Mendocino Ridge AVAs, where a close proximity to the Pacific fog line results in a cooler maritime growing season. Showcasing the coastal ridges of Mendocino County, the 2023 vintage comprises fruit from Drew's Faite de Mer Farm Estate Vineyard (Mendocino Ridge), Clow Ridge Vineyard (Anderson Valley), and Valenti Ranch (Anderson Valley).”

| | “Beautiful nose of strawberry, redcurrant, pine forest, red roses and raw beef, a little airy vanilla and baking spice. On the palate irrepressible crunchy fruit combines with pretty flowers, herbs and conifers, tightly wound and tart, but the concentration is there, it's layered and sneakily dense. Primary and raw, this just needs a few years, but there's a lot of joy now.”
