| “Gilles Robin is the fourth generation at this family-run Domaine, established in 1920 by his great grandfather. When Gilles took over the estate in 1996 at the age of just 24, the family left the cave cooperative and built their winery with six hectares of vineyards. They've since expanded their holdings to cover 22 hectares, including a small addition in Saint-Péray that was planted in 2018. In 2015, Robin started to do some whole-cluster ferments (30%), but he went to 100% in 2018.”

This cuvée is aged in oak barrels, of which 20% are new …. The estate now totals 15 hectares, including one planted with white varietals and a small parcel of Syrah in Saint-Joseph. His vines are planted in the stony and sandy La Terrace de Chassis district. An understated, meticulous winemaker, Gilles farms his plots organically, believing this is the best way to honestly give voice to the terroir. Gilles Robin has truly elevated his family estate, producing powerful, elegant, and precise wines – excellent representations of Crozes-Hermitage.”
