Chacra Stuns Again With Another Set of Incredible Chardonnays

Bodega Chacra has been producing some of the most exciting wines in the Southern Hemisphere for over a decade. The majority of the production is Pinot Noir with a level of restraint and finesse that is unmatched in South America. After years of success with this Burgundian variety, a chance meeting between Bodega Chacra's owner, Piero Incisa della Rocchetta, and Jean-Marc Roulot birthed a collaboration in which the two decided to graft a plot of 40-year-old Merlot vines to Chardonnay - with Roulot making the wines. Since the harvest is at the opposite time of the year in Burgundy, Roulot is able to be at the winery and in the vineyards throughout the harvest season. His attention to detail and trademark tension and transparent minerality truly shine through in these gorgeous wines.

The resulting two Chardonnays he produces are of outstanding quality and bear more than a familial resemblance to Jean-Marc Roulot's outstanding whites from Burgundy. Simply put, this is one of the most-exciting collaborations in the wine world today, and we advise stocking up while you can.
