"The 2018 Chardonnay Peugh comes from a vineyard originally planted in 1887 and grafted to Chardonnay in 1944. It was made with 20% new Austrian oak and has bright notions of petrichor, lime peel, green herbs and green pineapple with honeyed notes in the background. The palate is medium-bodied and satiny, swelling with savory flavors that are refreshed by mineral accents and lively acidity, and it finishes very long. The dynamic dichotomy of brightness and savory bass tones is compelling..."
