The Allerton Eddy Collection comes to auction from a local, recurring consignor we have now known for years. While this longtime collector’s first offering two years ago gave us but a small glimpse into the personality of this extraordinary collection, a recent career-driven move from San Diego to France has now allowed us – and you – a fuller view. While scrolling through the over 300 lots of this collection, you will find incredibly rare Champagne as well as some of Burgundy’s most acclaimed wines, and thus this collection is certainly one for the most passionate of Burgundy and Champagne drinkers and collectors. Highlights include outstanding wines by Roulot, Bachelet, Ramonet, Pierre-Yves Colin-Morey, Maume, Henri Boillot, Thierry & Pascale Matrot, Robert Ampeau, (Domaine) Perrot-Minot, Louis Carillon, Henri Gouges, Etienne Sauzet, Chartogne-Taillet, Vilmart & Cie, Camille Giroud, Camille Savès, Albert Morot, Bruno Clavelier, Marcel Deiss, and More. All wines were either purchased directly from the Domaines during many visits throughout France or from trusted California-based vendors and have been stored in a professional wine storage facility here in southern California since their acquisition.
