I loved Conventions when I was getting started - it offers such an easy way to expand your world of Hypnosis. You can in one weekend see so many diverse approaches - and you get to take away something from every presenter.

When I was learning and getting started there was the NGH convention- which was THE convention at that time - and then one in Florida, one in Chicago, one in St Louis and then the CHC Canadain Convention.

Now I didn't have a lot of money or time to travel everywhere - so I saved up and went to the NGH convention in Massachusetts and the Canadian convention in Ontario, Canada.And when they started HypnoThoughts in Vegas. And that was my budget done. But I learnt so much, and broaden my perspective in Hypnosis - it was worth it.

But this year with travel restrictions - Conventions are going online. And you can visit them without travelling - and still get all the wisdom and knowledge from the presenters. And remember - even if you don't agree, or don't like the presentation - for whatever reason - there will be something there for you to take away - that was worth it!

We just finished up the Elman Legacy Convention - which had amazing presenters - all focused on the Dave Elman Legacy and what it meant to them

Next week is the beginning of the World Hypnosis Convention - usually based in Italy - but now , online and worldwide. And with a worldwide selection of great presenters

So - take advantage of this 'hiccup' in the world - and allow yourself to visit these conventions without leaving home, without travel expenses, hotel expenses and (often) hotel bad food). That was one thing at these conventions live - the constant search for somewhere decent to eat that wasn't going to charge you a fortune.

Conventions broaden your practice - because you end up listening to people you wouldn't do normally - and as I say, they all bring something for you. All of them
