The Brown Mama Monologues is a celebration of motherhood and provides a solid, safe space for women of color to share their stories of tragedy, trauma, and triumph. ------------------------------
For 7 years, Muffy Mendoza, Founder and Executive Director of the Brown Mama Monologues, curated this platform to entertain, educate, and inspire audiences in a one-mic, one story, one speaker theme of powerful performances presented by women from various areas of the country. ------------------------------
On Saturday, May 6th, six women from Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, and Detroit will hit the stage at the Trust Arts Education Center (808 Liberty Ave., Downtown) to share their stories of motherhood through their unique lenses. These women have shared struggle, loss, gain, breakthrough, and hope during the process of building their 5 to 7 minute monologues.
The LIVE, IN-PERSON show will be Saturday, May 6th at the Trust Arts Education Center, located at 808 Liberty Avenue in Downtown, Pittsburgh at 6PM.
