Give Big Pittsburgh 2020
In 2021, POISE Foundation will be celebrating its 40th Anniversary. Our mission is to assist the Black Community in achieving self-sustaining practices through strategic leadership, collective giving, grantmaking and advocacy.
In April, POISE launched the Critical Community Needs Fund that has raised over $1.1 Million and pushed out grants to 92 local Black Led Organizations totaling $966,000 that are serving the most vulnerable members of the Black Community during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, administering a program of this magnitude has caused many additional expenses. We need your financial support today.
Our goal is to raise at least $50,000 by the end of the year and we have made it very easy for you to donate.
Join us on Tuesday, December 1st for one of the largest giving events ever created. Giving Tuesday and Give Big Pittsburgh 2020. Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good.

Over the past eight years, it has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. Give Big Pittsburgh is an online giving day hosted by Pittsburgh Magazine to support nonprofits in our area doing important work in our community and leverages that national awareness of Giving Tuesday to draw attention to local Pittsburgh nonprofit organizations.
