Twenty years ago, City Charter High School was established by Rick Wertheimer & Mario Zinga, two passionate Pittsburgh educators willing to create a fresh and innovative high school model dedicated to their students' success. They founded a school whose focus went beyond just the first four years, committed to providing students the tools for them to succeed in college, work and life. A generation later, we can report that our model works. We've helped change the educational landscape in Pittsburgh and have proven that all students can achieve amazing things when their potential is nurtured and they are held to high expectations
City High’s accomplishments would not be possible without the support from individuals and organizations critical to its success: community partners, internship mentors, grantmakers, and local educators. Join us as we celebrate 20 years of educational innovation, honoring our distinguished alumni and community partners. The event will include a silent auction, student performances, awards ceremony and the world premiere of a short film highlighting City High’s achievements, “Building Relationships”.
