VP OF MEMBERSHIP

POSITION: VP of Membership
Location: Pittsburgh
The Vice President of Membership is accountable for the development, implementation and assessment of membership and retention strategies, and business processes which deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience to girl members through best-in-class volunteer engagement.
Position Accountabilities:
- Develop a comprehensive strategy and implementation plan which leads to progressive membership growth and retention and a high-quality customer engagement model that increases member satisfaction;
- Integrate all functions related to girl and volunteer member experience to support the delivery of the Girl Scout Leadership Experience that is age-appropriate as well as engaging and fun for girls and volunteers;
- Serve as a key member of the senior management team, helping to establish priorities, launch new initiatives, align resources, adapt systems, and champion change;
- Directly supervise and oversee staff in the member recruitment, volunteer support, and outreach departments;
- Develop budget and effectively manage financial resources;
Qualifications:
- Minimum of bachelor degree in non-profit management, organizational leadership, business administration or a related field and equivalent professional experience;
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience managing professional staff or volunteers;
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in related field with proven customer engagement and improved membership results;
- Minimum of 2 years of organizational strategy development and implementation experience;
- Highly skilled in strategic planning and oversight, including adapting implementation plans to meet local needs;
- Strong community development, marketing and PR skills;
- Ability to lead and motivate staff and volunteers;
- Must be organized, detail oriented, and customer focused;
- Candidate must possess a can-do mentality, be responsible, and be a lifelong learner;
- Non-traditional work hours to include evenings and weekends;
- Travel required throughout western PA;
