POSITION: Special Events & Corporate Sponsorship Manager Reports to: Director, Fund Development Location: Pittsburgh
As a key member of the Fund Development Team for Girl Scouts Western Pennsylvania, you will be responsible for increasing revenue and awareness through the management, coordination and strategic execution of all council-wide fundraising initiatives and events.
Essential Functions:
- manage the planning, program development and production for special event fundraising initiatives;
- work closely with key volunteers and board members as it relates to generating event revenue and community awareness;
- maintain special event financial reporting, projections of current fiscal year revenue and expenses, develop upcoming fiscal year special event budgets and recommend sponsorship solicitation levels and benefits strategy;
- identify, cultivate and solicit corporate sponsorships for Girl Scout programs and girl events by working closely with the program team;
- manage the production of all special event materials (signage, invitations, program books) and oversee mailing lists;
- work with marketing to develop, design and create marketing pieces and ensure consistent fund development donor specific messaging;
- serve as the lead in event production, which includes overseeing venue, vendors, staff, event agenda and volunteer management;
Minimum: bachelor's degree and 3 years special events and fundraising experience; must have excellent written and oral communication skills, must be able to work in a high paced environment, meet critical deadlines and work on multiple projects simultaneously; attention to detail is critical; must have valid transportation and be able to travel throughout Western PA; clearances required; salary commensurate with experience; EOE
