The Wilkinsburg Two-Way Street Fest Saturday, May 20th, 12-4 PM on Wood Street between Penn Ave and Franklin Ave
The inaugural Two-Way Street Fest will celebrate Wilkinsburg’s strongest assets including community, small business, and excellent access to transit. Hosted by the Wilkinsburg Community Development Corporation (WCDC), the event also marks the borough’s project to change Wood Street from one way to two, improving traffic flow through the business district and access to businesses.
The Two-Way Street Fest takes place on Saturday, May 20, 12-4 p.m. on Wood Street between Penn Avenue and Franklin Avenue in Wilkinsburg’s central business district.
Activities will include:
*Climbing Wall w/ Venture Outdoors *Extreme pogo performances w/ Xpogo *Bounce castle obstacle course sponsored by Community LIFE *Wilkinsburg Skate Jam Skateboard Demo presented by Steel City Movers *Bike share demo w/ Healthy Ride PGH *Caricatures by Angela Love *Dance & hula workshops w/ A Peace of Mind, Inc & Move Yinz *Music by Timbeleza *Block Party for Peace w/ The Sanctuary Project & more fun w/ Bike Pittsburgh, Repair The World: Pittsburgh, Wilkinsburg Chamber of Commerce, Nine Mile Run Watershed Association & other local business and nonprofits.
