WRITERS' CONFERENCE

This TAZ writing event is a wonderful opportunity to get intense instruction over the course of one day, discuss your manuscript with an editor (optional), get your questions answered, network with like-minded authors and more. Note that there are limited seats at the event (120 total).
Lunch, Keynote Sharon Flake. With millions of books in print, Sharon G. Flake has earned an international reputation as one of the top children and young adult authors in the field. Her breakout novel The Skin I’m In, established her reputation as a must-read author with middle and high school students, as well as teachers, parents,and librarians. Flake has penned nine novels, including Unstoppable Octobia May, and her first picture book, You Are Not A Cat. Her work has been translated into French, Korean, Italian and Portuguese.

@ Rivers Club in Downtown Pittsburgh
The awards presentation will be preceded by dinner and networking with other authors, editors, graphic designers and publishing companies.
Keynote speaker will be Paul Guggenheimer, host of "Essential Pittsburgh" on Essential Public Radio (90.5 FM).
The Authors' Zone welcomes innovative, original work from established and emerging authors-self or traditionally published books.
Deadline for book submissions is Aug 29, 2016
