More than 100 years ago, the Pittsburgh Courier established its legacy through a political fight for African-Americans' civil rights. It informed the public and set the agenda.
Now, a panel of journalists will look back on that legacy as it weighs the current role of the black press in an evolving media landscape, especially in today's polarizing political and social climate.

- Damon Young, co-founder of VerySmartBrothas.com
Andrew Conte, director of Point Park University's Center for Media Innovation, will moderate.
The reception will begin at 6 p.m.; the discussion will begin at 6:30 p.m.
