The NCM Awards originated in 1997. The initial Award only honored Frontline Leaders who took a stand to promote peace to reduce violence and delinquent behavior in high risk communities.
In the year 2000, NCM begin establishing a number of High Honor Leadership Awards in various categories to honor individuals and organizations for Exemplary Service in public service to high-risk communities.
NCM Awards are presented each year during a ceremony to individuals who have dedicated their lives to public service.
