ABOUT JUDGE DWAYNE D. WOODRUFF

In Pittsburgh, Judge Woodruff co-chairs the SAFE Workgroup (Shared Accountability for Education) and serves on the Educational Success & Truancy Prevention (ESTP) Committee. He serves statewide on the Juvenile Court Judges’ Commission, appointed by Governor Ed Rendell in July of 2006 to set standards for PA courts; Pennsylvania’s Juvenile Court Procedural Rules Committee and previously served on the Interbranch Commission on Juvenile Justice as well, making recommendations to the state following the Luzerne County “kids for cash” scandal.  He is also a member of the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar Associations and is a past elected member of the Pennsylvania House of Delegates.  Additionally, Judge Woodruff receives great pleasure presiding over CYF (Children Youth & Families) adoptions in his courtroom.
