NeXtPgh in partnership with ACLU Pittsburgh Chapter, Kingsley Center and Soul Pitt Media will host an open discussion surrounding a topic that is affecting our communities. Professor Tracey McCants Lewis, who is an assistant professor and assistant director of Clinical Legal Education at Duquesne University School of Law, will do a presentation and Q&A session on knowing your rights with police.
Among other things Prof. Lewis will discuss the rights for when stopped in your car, if you are stopped for questioning, if you are arrested & taken to a police station. Come prepare with questions and examples to share while we open this discussion series.
