Gwen’s Girls in collaboration with Prime Stage Theatre Company presents "You Belong to Me," a theatre production and program that brings the drama of teen dating violence to the front of the stage. This program will offer teens, as well as adults, the opportunity to learn the warning signs, where to turn for help, and how to find positive role models. Following the performance, WPXI's Brittny McGraw will host a discussion. **Appropriate for ages 10 and older.**

Annual Black History Program will be sponsored by The Rachel Randall Education Department of Pentecostal Temple Church of God in Christ, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., on Sunday February 28, 2016 at 6:00 pm. The evening will be "A Celebration of the Family", highlighting families with drama, music, liturgical dance, along with honoring those couples which have been married over 50 years and their families. "It takes a village to raise a child" and that is Family. The First families of the United States and Pentecostal Temple will also be recognized. Know Thyself: An African American Poetic Journey

Book Release and staged reading of Know Thyself: An African American Poetic Journey edited by Dessie Bey and preview of Time Machine Sankofa, a stage play by Shabaka Perkins, narrated by Kim El. The anthology is a creative, historic timeline of poems that depict the African American experience from Kemet (ancient Egypt) to the election of President Obama. The book is intended to be a creative teaching tool for historic reference. Local poets and Point Park University students will lend their voices to read selected poems from the book by well-known, recognized poets, as well as talented local poets. In addition, an African village scene, slave capture enactment and dance performance to appropriate poems will introduce the public to the play, Time Machine Sankofa. This African American historic timeline also includes a special appearance by the Mt. Ararat Baptist Church Male Chorus, vocalists Jacquea Mae, and Sydnie Dané plus saxophone interludes by James "Doc" Wilson.
