On behalf of African-Americans for Chelsa Wagner, we ask you to join us in supporting County Controller Chelsa Wagner for re-election. She has a strong track record of fighting for the issues that are important to our community. Throughout her career as a public official she has stood up for diversity and inclusion in government. In her own administration, she has hired and promoted qualified African-Americans and women into top positions.

Since she has taken office, she has saved the taxpayers of Allegheny County $75 million dollars. Her audits have uncovered the theft of County property, exposed disparities in the County’s property reassessment system and recovered millions of dollars for Allegheny County’s taxpayers. Chelsa Wagner’s recommendations have led to the stabilization of County finances. The controller’s office is far more efficient and effective than the one she inherited. In 2013, her office received commendations from the Association of American Government Auditors for staff professionalism, quality of audits and adherence to Government Accounting Standards. She has been endorsed by the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Talk Magazine and other organizations throughout our region.
