| | Barratt 'The Ambrose' Merlot 2007
Good to see a merlot with a bit of age. This one comes from a five star winery in the cool Adelaide Hills wine region and it shows.
There is a lovely plushness of ripe dark plums, blackcurrants, and mulberries. The fruit is still well alive and mixes it up, notes of artichoke, liquorice, coffee, coffee, malt and spices.
Plenty of good mouthwatering acidity and fine textured tannins making it well adapted to food and in particular a juicy steak!
Lovers of good merlot jump on this, I can assure you, you won't be disappointed.
