This was one of the best wines in the tasting, both refreshing and very well filled with sour black fruit, black cherries, thyme and black pepper. Very good balance, light tannins and very well-defined texture. I am a particular fan of the delicate, silky texture it has. 13.5%.

A lovely expression of Graciano – the grape variety that appears in Rioja in small doses for blending but is not often seen standing alone. Aromatic, full-bodied and with liquorice, black fruits and pepper notes. Lively and out of the ordinary in this line-up. 17 (90) Drink 2014–2016.
