Hi Friend

Hi Vine Wine Club Member,
Once again we have toiled our way through over 130+ wines to find a classic Top 10 of March and as they say someone has to do it!
We pride ourselves on showing discounts that are true to market NOT white lies based on unrealistic prices or even worse, unsustainable pricing that put another small producer to the wall based on opportunistic mofo or so it may seem!

And the Winners are:
1.Flametree Chenin Blanc 2014 (Margaret River WA)
Cliff Royal (winemaker) seems to find the best fruit in all classic Margaret River wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon & Chardonnay and has certainly shown Vine his midas touch with this unlikely candidate.
Lifted tropical fruits such as pineapple, honeydew melon with mid palate richness follows from front to back complex and with delicate tension.
So yummy that we are telling all our loyal customers to grab a few it’s a keeper!
RRP $26.95
Wine Club Offer $19.95 Save 26%
2.Harewood Porongurup Riesling 2015 (Great Southern WA)
Harewood estate continue to shine with the Riesling grape and being from Great Southern and smashing trophy winner and medals against more decorated regions such as Clare valley/Eden Valley.( just adds to their cudo.)
Lively floral bouquet of citrus with hints of wet stone minerals leads to a truly focused expression of lemon, lime and grapefruit. Absolutely Delicious!
RRP $29.95
Wine Club Offer $21.55 Save 28%
3.Jeanneret Watervale Single Vineyard Riesling 2014 (Clare Valley SA)
It’s amazing what an extra year in bottle can achieve especially with Riesling and this is a classic example of the extra complexities that can be achieved in this region.
Displaying aromas of lemon butter with hints of fresh toast and hints of honey lifted and enticing.
The palate is rich and intense with defined crisp and clean acidity driving home the fruit.
This wine is deserving of a good home and will continue to develop gracefully over the next few years.

Wine Club Offer $23.15 Save 23%
4.Shadowfax Single Vineyard Pinot Gris 2015 (Macedon Vic)

A bouquet of pear, cumquat ,wild spices , wild flowers and delicate perfume. The palate is round ,full flavoured with some mid palate textural elements on a cleansing crisp acid finish.

One for the European dry rose fan and who would have thought Tumbarumba? Not me except as I tasted blind it was European in a glass!

6.Feudo Arancio Nero d’Avola 2014 (Sicily- Italy)
Italian varietals are taking Vine by storm as our educated custom find these increasingly food friendly in nature and also great for the sky rocket (Pocket= inexpensive)
Aromas of dark plums ,wild currant with a delicate leathery note whilst the palate is juicy with integrated fine tannin.
This is the value wine of the bracket and a guaranteed crowd pleaser but will also sit well with the educated - wine enthusiast.

7.Thistle Ridge Block 2 Pinot Noir (Waipara NZ)
Not a thin sweet pinot as we are so often afraid of from some Marlborough Factories and sold predominantly in the mass market.
This wine display aromas of plums, dark cherry, forest floor and wild mushrooms, leading to a generously weighted and concentrated fruit weight whilst being held in check with gravely tannin.
A real crowd pleaser that requires a meal and a great accompaniment to pork belly Asian style Yummy!
RRP $32.95
Wine Club Offer $21.55 Save 34%

8.Margan Barbera 2013 (Hunter Valley NSW)
Barbera in the Hunter who would have thought? A traditional northern Italian grown in a hit & miss region to say the least.
Well this time Andrew Margan has hit the bullseye and if put alongside most Northern Hemisphere counterparts would most likely beat them not just on value but also quality.
Bouquet of dark currants, tar, earth and some leathery notes. The palate is ever so quaffable yet has the grippy tannin that helps glide the fruit from front to back.
A delicious drink that is a Vine Best Buy of 2016!
RRP $37.95
Wine Club Offer $27.95 Save 26%
9.Firebird Super Tuscan Sangiovese 2013 (Adelaide Hills SA)
Super Tuscan might be a bold statement but Vine is certain over time Adelaide Hills will stamp a place in the Sangiovese hierarchy and make the old world take notice.
Mark Kozned (Winemaker) has persisted and as the story goes persistence pays off and it has!
This Sangiovese with a splash of Cabernet abounds in red floral perfume, lifted red cherries and slight hints of star anise. The palate is full round and opulent with some tight, gravely tannin hold the package in check.
The Cabernet Sauvignon component gives fullness in the mid palate and the Super to the Tuscan !
RRP $32.95
Wine Club Offer $21.55 Save 34%
10.Clare Valley Wine Co Shiraz 2013(Clare Valley SA)
Aromas of mulberry, chocolate, ripe plum and a hint of spearmint, the palate is refined with delicate fruit weight on a well- rounded palate with some integrated caramelized oak influence.
This wine disproves that alcohol is a problem it’s all about harmonious balance and even at 15% this is a great example of harmony.
At Vine we see thousands of wines that display heat or burn many at low levels say 12-13% so please don’t discriminate or you will miss Gems like this and at this price it’s a steal.
