So without further waffling the Winners are:
Nova Vita Firebird Gruner Veltliner 2015-Adelaide Hills (SA)
A native variety of Austria has found its home in the Adelaide Hills. An alternative variety that displays spicy apple and classic white pepper nuances leading to a palate consisting of green apple, blood orange with a slight textural element before the customary Zing!
RRP $29.95
Vine Price $22.35 in dozen purchase mixed or straight

Dante Gabriel Vermentino 2016-Adelaide Hills (SA)
Always  a wine specialist's go to white when serving food that has some tomato based sauce.
A Bouquet of white flowers, lime and almond lead to a palate of nashi pear and wild spices finishing with refreshing acidity!
RRP $ 26.95
Vine Price $19.95 in dozen purchase mixed or straight

Tolloy Pinot Grigio 2015-Alto Adige (Italy)
Pinot Grigio in most cases is a simplistic crisp dry white with little interest other than to chug down in the summer heat.
This little puppy defies that statement with beautiful pear, apple, melon and nutty characters rounding out a complex package.
RRP $36.95
Vine Price $27.95 in dozen purchase mixed or straight
Lo Stesso Fiano 2016-Heathcote (Vic)
If searching for a wine and you find out it’s connected with Jasper Hill do not hesitate to cuddle it and take it home like a lost puppy! Give it a good home and it will show you love in every glass.
This Fiano displays stone fruits, ginger spice, almond and toast whilst finishing with clean drying acidity.
RRP $39.95
Vine Price $29.55 in dozen purchase mixed or straight
Picardy Chardonnay 2014-Pemberton (WA)
Often overlooked for more prestigious regions such as Margaret River, Pemberton has always been a region that over delivers for its price and this is an example of pure finesse.
Lovely stone fruits, zest of lemon and grapefruit all balanced out with creamy well integrated oak.
An absolute pleasure to drink!
RRP $49.95
Vine Price $39.95

in dozen purchase mixed or straight
Lerida Estate Cullerin Pinot Noir 2015-Lake George (ACT)
If I was to say “Canberra was never on my must do wine destinations” I would be telling the truth 15 years ago, but now it is definitely on my radar.
Cool Climate varieties thrive in this region and Pinot Noir from Lerida is a standout especially this gem!
Cherry, redcurrant, spices and gamey earthiness all supported with fine structural tannin.
RRP $39.95
Vine Price $31.95 in dozen purchase mixed or straight
Blackbilly Sangiovese 2015-Langhorne Creek (SA)
After many years being pigeon holed as a bulk mass market wine region, Langhorne Creek is dispelling this old label it was unfortunately given by some in the big end of town.
Now regarded by wine lovers as a high quality yet still affordable area.
Exhibiting savoury red cherries, sage and mixed herbs on a subtle yet lengthy palate with some nuances of dark chocolate and leather.
A great inexpensive food friendly style that is great for the everyday quaff.
RRP $26.95
Vine Price $19.95
in dozen purchase mixed or straight

Minnow Creek Sangiovese Cabernet 2016-McLaren Vale (SA)
“A wine style that Italy has made for decades but seldom seen in Australia, hopefully we all can embrace as it’s a personal favourite of mine”(Andrew Stubbs Manager)
Juicy opulent blackcurrant, plums and black cherry all held in check with underlying dusty, gravely tannin.
Both a crowd pleaser and a wine for the more enthusiastic!
RRP $24.95
Vine Price $18.35 in dozen purchase mixed or straight

William Hunt Grenache Shiraz Mataro 2012-Barossa (SA)
As a harsh critic of Rhone Blends this proved to be a real bobby dazzler!
Most in this price point are more on the alfresco juby style with more sweetness than rustic earthiness.
I totally adored the deep broody dark fruits with leathery, gamey undertones, star anise, spices and the list goes on.
This wine is a steal and for any Grenache lover, a must no more to say other than chug a lug a lug it down!
RRP$27.95
Vine Price $19.95
in dozen purchase mixed or straight
