The wines you'll be tasting are:
Chateau Bonnet Reserve 2010 Sauvignon Blanc Semillon from Entre Deux Mers. Lightly oaked, pale gold with sparkling highlights, catches the light beautifully. The nose is a cornucopia of fruits, citrus, yellow and white peach and passionfruit, sunripe and mingling deliciously with acacia blossom.
Chateau Larose Trintaudon 2010 "Excellent deep red/purple colour. The bouquet is also very smart, with clean, bright fruit showing chocolate, blackcurrant and some cabernet influence shining through. Tight, elegant, firm palate with style and length. Good and ripe, but not overdone. Has the structure and intensity to age well." Huon Hooke ~ 95 Points
Chateau Serilhan 2010 "I believe this is the first Serilhan vintage to boast Hubert de Bouard as the winemaking consultant. The strongest effort I have tasted from this 60-acre estate, it is composed of 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Franc and hit 14% natural alcohol. A soft, round, generous, opaque plum-colored wine, it offers abundant notes of black cherries and black currants intermixed with hints of herbs and earth." Robert Parker ~ 90-92 Points
Chateau Fourcas Hosten 2005 "Still young, with its dry tannins, this is a wine that has developed depth and concentration over the last 3-4 years. It has power, the berry fruits driving through the structure to give a layered, attractive, serious finish." Wine Enthusiast ~ 91 Points
Chateau Plantey 2010 "Sister property to Commanderie of St-Estèphe (Meffre family of the Rhône) next to Pontet Canet. Very dark crimson. Extremely rich and sumptuous on the nose. But then quite luscious and with a refined top note on the palate. Some transparency. Very intense. Very Pauillac. Lots of intense ambition here. Really quite serious." Jancis Robinson ~ 16.5 Points |
