Jairo Tilve from Bodegas Valdemar will be hosting a Masterclass in store on Friday the 18th of September. We will be looking at five different wines as shown below and Jairo will be able to talk you through all regions and styles of this great wine producing country.

Conde de Valdemar Rioja Blanco 2013 (100% Viura)
It displays a yellow colour, with greenish hues, clean and bright. Complex white flowers and yellow fruit aromas, like the apple, combined with citrus notes. It has a fresh entry in mouth, soft and elegant. Tasty in mouth with an excellent acidity and oily-mouth feel.

Conde de Valdemar Rioja Crianza 2010 (Tempranillo, Mazuelo)
Wine with a lovely, deep garnet-red colour. On the nose ripe fruit aromas stand out together with spicy notes, vanilla and coconut resulting from the cask ageing. Full-flavoured taste, with ripe fruit perfectly blending with the fine tannins from its time in the oak. Well-balanced and very expressive.

Conde de Valdemar Rioja Reserva 2008 (Tempranillo, Mazuelo)
Attractive and intense red cherry colour with garnet rim. It displays ripe fruit notes and sweet spices of a great complexity. It is very expressive. Good structure in mouth, tasty, with ripe and elegant tannins.

Conde de Valdemar Rioja Gran Reserva 2005 (Tempranillo, Mazuelo)
It displays a dark red cherry colour, clean and bright. Reveals spicy aromas of cloves, black pepper, and a bit of cedar wood and shrubby herbs. Powerful, tasty, spicy and creamy in mouth, with a long aftertaste.
