If I were to ask you for your top ten, what would it include? Integrity, trust, teamwork, communication, excellence? What else? What about failure?

What are your Leadership Strengths?

Hey Friend,

What do you think are the key strengths of a successful leader?

Recent research by the Centre for Creative Leadership^ suggests these:

  1. Integrity

  2. Ability to delegate

  3. Communication

  4. Self-awareness

  5. Gratitude

  6. Learning agility

  7. Influence

  8. Empathy

  9. Courage

  10. Respect

While I totally agree these strengths are important, if this year has taught us anything, we need to be more prepared for major disruption. And for disruption we need to push the dynamic/agile/adaptive envelope and challenge leaders to really up their game!

Let's work towards these strengths for leaders in 2021 and beyond:

  1. Resilience

  2. Drive

  3. Curiosity

  4. Humility

  5. Compassion

  6. Determination

  7. Transparency

  8. Creativity

  9. Vulnerability

  10. Self-confidence

Oh, and if I were to sneak a final one onto the list it would be: TRUST. Trust in yourself and trust in others!

What do you think?
