Hey there… I wanted to make sure you saw this email!
This is a “members only” email.
You are receiving this because you are already a member of Successful Group Lessons.
I know most of you are quite familiar with my story.
My group lesson journey started with a summer camp called the Piano Express.
We saw up to 24 kids per day in our week long camp experience.
Out of that experience, I built my much smaller “five-kids-at-a-time” group model.
But, while I was doing that… My business partner, Greg, built a much bigger model that required a commercial location to run and significant investments in equipment ($50,000+).
His version of the model allowed him to see up to 24-kids-per hour.
He successfully navigated a 12-to-1 ratio with just one master teacher and a high school TA. He could see 24 kids an hour in a small commercial location with two teachers and two assistants.
You might ask...
Why am I telling you about this?
The Problem That I Had to Solve
You’ve been through the Successful Group Lessons training.
One of the major components of the training is solving the “time” problem.
It’s probably the biggest challenge that an SGL teacher has to face. It’s a “troubleshooting” question that teachers frequently ask by email, in the Facebook group, or in our occasional live webinars.
The question:
How do you maximize the time you have with each student?
Well, that’s what the “Six Principles” training is about. The principles help you juggle and balance the demands of assessment, teaching, creativity, and discovery.
It took me years to REALLY get good at it.
You know the challenge that I’m talking about.
Well… Greg decided to solve that problem in a different way.
And, I’d like to share that with you now.
10 Years in the Making
The reason that Greg can see 12 kids an hour without stress is he has a teaching assistant that never calls in sick, never makes mistakes, and that all the kids in his studio absolutely love.
Also, he doesn’t have to pay this assistant a weekly or monthly salary.
:)
It’s a piece of software.
Greg has gamified the learning experience by building his entire education model around a piece of software that isn’t just an “add-on” to the learning experience...
It’s at the very core of the learning process.
Here’s just a few of the benefits that we have seen:
The software allows teachers to compress assessment time down dramatically.
It gives the teacher more freedom to use the hour for other things like ear training, technique exercises, song writing, and skill development.
It takes a TON of pressure off of the teacher… and (for larger schools) makes it much easier to train others to run this model.
It allows students to make progress at home that no other piano education model can provide
It allows the teacher to track student progress and practice time away from the studio
It has dramatically increased the AMOUNT of time that students are practicing at home (on their “core” skill development… not “music games” that are an add-on to the lesson experience)
Greg began developing this nearly 10 years ago… and this year, our team has begun to roll out this solution to studios around the globe.
However, we are in beta mode right now!
We haven’t publicly announced or launched this yet.
We are more interested in learning what questions studio owners might have and on seeing the method in action in other studios.
We already have several studios successfully running the program… but we want to see more!
If you have an interest in learning more about the Piano Express app and being a beta tester, here’s what you should do next:
Click the link below
Fill out the application (takes just a minute or two)
If your studio is a good fit, we will contact you and set up a time to meet to answer questions
PLEASE NOTE: The solution was designed for large, commercial studios. However, it works VERY well for small, in-home studios, as well. Do not count yourself out just because of your studio size (large or small!).
If you have questions, please feel free to email me… Otherwise, just click the link to fill out the application.
Apply to join the Piano Express “Beta Bunch”
Have a great weekend!
Best,
Daniel
