Subject: How Do You....?

Yesterday, I sent you an email about the “George Costanza” principle of group lessons.

Do the opposite.

I received several emails about that message… one from Kathy in Utah.

She asked:
I love Kathy’s question… and it is such a good question, I wanted to answer it for the 1000+ people who indicated they are interested in group lessons.

I'd like to introduce you to Maria...

This photo was taken in May of 2015… just 15 months after she began lessons in January of 2014.

Just six months later she began prep for the Level 5 RCM exam… Just 2 years into lessons.

And, just a month ago she began prep for her RCM Level 8 exam.

Now, here’s my point…

Another student of mine began the very same day that Maria began in my group program. Let’s call her Sally.

Maria and Sally were roughly the same age…

Both were homeschooled…

Both were bright young ladies…

But while Maria passed the entire basic series in about 18 months in my group program, Sally (a more casual student) took her time getting through the series.

In those same 18 months she made it to Level 2B of Faber.

Both did great work. Both were precise in their rhythms and both were excellent sight readers.

But, Maria just had more drive.

And that’s why I created my group structure the way I did.

I didn’t want my “Marias” to be held back.

And, I didn’t want my “Sallys” to feel less than or feel stressed out.

I wanted each student to move at their own pace!

How did I do this?

It wasn’t easy… but from 2008 - 2010 I experimented with several different methods (Faber, Alfred, and others). I learned how to adapt them to a group format.

And I got this unique style of teaching down to a science.

I call it “Six Educational Principles for Group Lessons”...

Later this month, I am going to share with you dozens of testimonials from other studio owners who have adopted this same powerful, creative teaching style.

And, later this month, I will open the doors to my Successful Group Lessons program.

In it, I share all of these principles, hours of observation videos, how I get kids to read on the staff in less than 10 minutes in a group setting (with a 100% success rate this year), and many other things that I have discovered about teaching group over the past 10 years.

I would love to show you everything…

Registration begins November 23rd.

Mark your calendar!

Very best,
Daniel
