We’re talking about group lessons this week…
And the fears that studio owners have about starting a group program or improving an existing one.
Over the next few days, we’re going to be visited by a few “ghosts” (just like in A Christmas Carol)... in the hopes that we can learn a few lessons that will help us overcome these fears.
The 3 fears are:
Group Ghost #1: Fear of your clients
Group Ghost #2: Fear of the change (equipment, curriculum, etc.)
Group Ghost #3: Fear of the investment
Let’s dive in!
But my clients just don’t want group lessons!
Have you ever said any of the following?
“We tried to start a group program, but no one signed up”
“We live in a really ‘well-to-do’ area… parents would never accept a group program”
“I asked parents if they wanted to be a part of our new group program, but they all said they would just prefer private lessons”
“People in our [geographic area] just don’t want group lessons”
“I don’t know how to convince parents to accept a group lesson program”
There’s something that all of these phrases have in common…
They display a fixed mindset that doesn’t take into account what will happen if you create an “irresistible” offer.
This is the kind of offer that I teach clients to make in our group training program… and to date no one has failed when they use this method.
Here's a sneak peek of that offer:
How to Convert to Group Lessons
Very simply… you have to get families to want the program.
The mistake that most studios make is focusing on the FORMAT and not the OUTCOME.
Compare these two sentences:
“Hey! Would you like to join our group program?”
Vs
“Hey! We’re starting a new program in our studio that gives your child more time with their teacher… oh yeah, there’s no additional cost.”
In the first one, you are asking the parent to do all the mental work of figuring out what it means to be in “group lessons.”
In most cases… they don’t even KNOW the implications, and thus they just assume it's worse because it’s not “1-on-1”.
It’s a lot easier to get people on board when you focus on all the outcomes instead of the format.
This is why I created the Successful Group Lessons training…
I wanted to teach other studio owners how to easily convert to group.
I do this by teaching my “4 Magic Messages”...
The 4 marketing messages to which your clients will absolutely say “yes.”
And - I give you all of my marketing templates that worked for me in my studio for 15+ years (for both current students and new students)...
Including my email conversion templates that 400+ studios have used to convert between 90%-100% of their studio to group in just a few weeks.
While others struggle to get a group lesson off the ground...
The rules won’t have to apply to you!
Now that's a Christmas miracle that Mr. Scrooge can get excited about!
