Facebook embarrasses me on a daily basis.
How?
Facebook has a feature called “On This Day.”
It shows me things that I posted on this day ever since I joined Facebook (which was over 10 years ago).
Most of the time, it is an embarrassing reminder of how I overshared photos and my opinion in my 20’s.
But, every once in a while, Facebook reminds me of something really cool. A treasured memory, a trip with friends, a photo that means a lot to me…
… or the most important business decision I ever made in my life.
About a month ago, this came up on my Facebook “On This Day” reminder:

My friends… I cannot tell you how cool it was to see this on my reminders.
My life changed that day.
I went from being overworked and underpaid…
To starting a group program that solved so many problems in my studio.
Here are just a few problems that my group lesson program solved:
- Not enough room in my schedule to take on new students
- Not having enough time with students during the lesson
- Students struggling to get through their books quickly
- Boredom from teaching beginners 1-on-1
- The “lonely” aspect of music lessons… group lessons offered a community, team experience for kids that they found exciting and full of energy!
- Not having to teach until 9:30p some nights just to make a decent income
- Less repetitive in my teaching process
The beautiful thing about all of this was that not only did I get all these benefits… I found a way to improve the quality of my program at the same time!
That’s why I created Successful Group Lessons.
Over the past two years, I’ve helped 97 studios convert to group lessons.
I haven’t “told them” what to do.
I didn’t give them a book or a blueprint.
I walked them through… step-by-step.
Successful Group Lessons opens for registration on the 23rd of November.
If you’d like to be a part, you can download my ebook on how to start a successful program.
